Adamawa Guber: Don’t tamper with our results, Atiku warns INEC
The Presidential candidate of the People’s Democracy Party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections, Atiku Abubakar has warned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to tamper with the results of the just concluded governorship election in Adamawa State.
Atiku, who issued the warning during a world press conference in his Yola residence on Monday, accused INEC of deliberately delaying the announcement of the result knowing PDP has won the election.
The former vice president urged INEC to announce the result, noting that the state was already in tension with a possible political crisis.
In his words, “PDP is the party that won the election. Plus or Minus PDP is still leading even with the altered result of the Fofure Local Governor.
“I’m appealing to INEC for the sake of Peace in the state to announce the result and declare who is the winner.”
