A 25-year-old university student, identified as Muima, has shared his unusual love story with Teresa, an 85-year-old woman, revealing plans to marry her despite opposition from relatives and friends.
Muima met Teresa while studying in Congo, after becoming tenants in one of her rental properties. Their frequent interactions eventually blossomed into friendship and then romantic affection. He recalled that the relationship began when Teresa brought him food and asked for a kiss in return, sparking a connection that grew into love.

Teresa, a widow with eight children and twenty grandchildren, later informed her family of her intention to marry Muima. While some of her children disapproved, she insisted on going ahead with the wedding, expressing excitement at the prospect of wearing a white gown again.
Muima said he remains deeply in love with Teresa and prays that she outlives him, as he admitted he could not cope emotionally if she passed away before him. Teresa, meanwhile, stated that the age difference does not concern her, emphasizing that love is what truly matters.
The couple’s story has drawn attention online, with reactions divided between admiration for their devotion and disbelief over the significant age gap.
