83 Nigerians Return Home from South Africa, Received in Lagos
A total of 83 Nigerian returnees have arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, from Johannesburg, South Africa, aboard a South African Airways flight.
The returnees were received by the Director of the African Affairs Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Haruna Ali-Gombe, mni, who welcomed them on behalf of the Federal Government.
Following their arrival, the returnees were formally handed over to relevant government agencies for documentation, profiling and other necessary procedures.
The process is expected to pave the way for their safe reunification with their respective families and communities.
The Federal Government’s coordinated reception of the returnees underscores its commitment to ensuring that Nigerians returning home receive the necessary assistance and support as they begin the process of reintegration.
