AbdulSamad Rabiu Hosts SINOMA China Chairman in Dubai as Sokoto Cement Expansion Talks Advance
Chairman of BUA Group, AbdulSamad Rabiu, has expressed excitement over hosting Mr. Zhang Sicai, Chairman of CBMI Construction Ltd. (SINOMA China), and his delegation at the company’s Dubai office, as discussions progress on a major expansion of cement production in Nigeria.

The meeting focused on the proposed addition of a new 3-million-metric-ton cement production line in Sokoto State, a move expected to significantly boost industrial capacity in the region. Rabiu highlighted the long-standing partnership between BUA Group and CBMI, noting that the collaboration has spanned over 15 years.
According to him, CBMI has been a reliable partner, having successfully delivered cement production lines with a combined capacity of 14 million tons, contributing to the steady growth of BUA’s operations. The planned expansion would raise the group’s total annual cement production capacity to 20 million tons.
The proposed project represents another milestone in the enduring partnership between the two companies and underscores their shared commitment to industrial development, infrastructure growth, and economic expansion in Nigeria.
