In a statement issued on Monday by the Director of Defence Information, Major General Samaila Uba, the Defence Headquarters confirmed that the comprehensive investigation—initially announced in October 2025—has been completed and its findings forwarded to the appropriate superior authority in line with existing military regulations.

According to the statement, the inquiry was conducted in accordance with established military procedures and carefully examined all circumstances surrounding the conduct of the affected personnel. The report identified several officers with serious allegations that were described as inconsistent with the ethics, values, and professional standards expected of members of the Armed Forces.

The AFN disclosed that officers found to have cases to answer will be formally arraigned before a military judicial panel to face trial under the Armed Forces Act and other applicable service regulations.

The military emphasized that the actions being taken are strictly disciplinary and form part of ongoing institutional mechanisms to uphold order, discipline, and operational effectiveness within the ranks.

Reaffirming its commitment to professionalism and constitutional loyalty, the Armed Forces stated that it remains resolute in maintaining the highest standards of conduct while ensuring fairness and due process for all personnel involved.
