Al-Ansar Foundation President Champions National Revenue Diversification at FAAC Retreat

In a pivotal moment at the Federal Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) retreat held in Asaba, Delta State from November 20th to 21st, 2023, Dr. Mohammed Kyari Dikwa, Founder and President of Al-Ansar Foundation, delivered a thought-provoking address that ignited discussions on national revenue diversification.
The distinguished gathering included key government officials such as the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Permanent Secretary, Special Duties, Federal Ministry of Finance, the Accountant-General of the Federation, Honourable Commissioners, and State Accountants-General from all 36 States of the Federation.
Notably, representatives from pivotal government entities including CBN, NNPC Ltd., FIRS, NCS, NEITI, NRMAFC, Upstream Commission, Ministry of Solid Minerals, and DMO were also present.
Dr Dikwa, a former Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, was invited to deliver a lecture that centred on diversifying national revenue streams, considering the escalating government expenditures. His address, which urged the exploration of untapped sectors like agriculture, tourism, telecommunication, and solid minerals, resonated profoundly with the attendees.
Inspired by Dr. Dikwa’s visionary insights, participants at the FAAC retreat have pledged to actively pursue the implementation of these strategic recommendations. This collective commitment signifies a concerted effort to build a more sustainable and prosperous economy, marking a crucial step forward following the impactful address by Dr Dikwa.
