“If your work impacts the public; if your decisions shape people’s experiences; if your voice drives change; if your actions uplift your community, then you are already a public leader,” Dr. Tijani said.

The forum, which drew young female leaders from more than 17 African countries, was held under the inspiring theme: “Black Girl, Your Dreams Are Valid.”

Mrs. Egerton-Idehen also joined a lively Fireside Chat session where she shared practical insights on leadership, purpose, and driving meaningful change. Her message encouraged young women to embrace confidence, pursue their passions boldly, and use their voices to influence society positively.

The 2025 edition of the forum reaffirmed the Amazon Leadership Initiative’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of African female leaders and expanding opportunities for young women across the continent.
