AMDF announces registration for 7th ACDJ

The Africa Media Development Foundation (AMDF), organizers of the Africa Conference on Development Journalism (ACDJ) has announced the registration for the 7th edition of the conference.

This was contained in a statement by the Executive Director, AMDF, Sekyen Dadik.

According to the statement, the conference is in line with the prevailing economic situation in Nigeria, the host country.

“After reviewing the situation, we thought it wise to make attendance free in order to enable more journalists to participate and enjoy the benefits associated with the conference.

“We however wish to state that the quality of the discussions and papers at the 2023 conference will in no way be compromised.”

ACDJ is an annual conference that hosts influential journalists, bloggers, academics, human rights activists, and development partners.

The conference focuses on the development of journalism skills, trends in practice, academic research and findings, use of innovative media technologies, and provides opportunities for networking.

The Conference at a broader level seeks to explore the place of Development Journalism and media in Africa in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals as outlined by the United Nations.

The conference, therefore, is scheduled to be held on 6th & 7th December 2023 in Kaduna Nigeria, and will be free, except for the cost of the certificate.
