Anambra Primaries: “We hope our recommendations will strengthen APC – Appeal Committee

The Anambra State APC governorship primary election appeal committee has expressed hope that its recommendations will bring justice and strengthen the party.

The committee revealed that, several complaints were heard and that they went through petitions received. According to Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state who is Chairman of the committee, its report produced based on materials received and justice had been done as promised.
The Governor stated this while submitting the report to the National Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Committee (CECPC) of the party, Governor Mai Mala Buni.
The Governor, while handling presenting the report to the CECPC Chairman, Governor Inuwa thanked the leadership of the party for finding him and members of his committee worthy of the task.
He said, in view of the importance and urgency of the assignment, his committee had to immediately after its inauguration, swing into action and worked through the weekend with key players in the state.
“We thank God that we met with all the contestants and also got to principal stakeholders so that we thrash through the issues and advise the party accordingly.
“The summary of all our undertakings is what we have as a report plus some of the documents that we were able to receive in terms of petitions, recommendations, or advice,” Governor Inuwa stated.
Receiving the report on behalf of the national leadership of the APC, Sen. James Akpanudoedehe commended Governor Yahaya and other members of the committee for executing the assignment with dispatch.
He assured that the CECPC will look at the report critically with objectivity and be guided by the recommendations.
