APC Holds Peaceful State Congress in Kano, New Executives Emerge
The All Progressives Congress in Kano State has concluded its State Congress in a peaceful and orderly manner at the Indoor Hall of the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.

Following the exercise, Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa was elected as State Chairman, Salisu Maje Ahmed Gwangwazo as Deputy Chairman, and Professor Yusuf Mohammed Sabo as State Secretary, alongside other members of the state executive committee.
Deputy Senate President Barau I. Jibrin congratulated the newly elected officials and expressed optimism that they would strengthen the party’s structure and lead it to greater success in Kano State.
He also praised Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and other key stakeholders for ensuring the congress was conducted smoothly and without rancour.
More than 2,400 delegates from the 44 Local Government Areas of the state participated in the process, which party leaders described as transparent and credible.
With the successful completion of congresses at the ward, local government and state levels, the APC in Kano says it is fully prepared for the 2027 general elections.
