Army pleased with officers’ promotion exam results

The Nigerian Army has said that it is thrilled with the officers’ “exceptional performance” in the recently finished Captain to Major promotional examination held in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State.
This was revealed by the President of the Examination, Major General Kelvin Aligbe while speaking with newsmen in Abeokuta at the end of the one-week examination taken by 286 officers.
According to Aligbe, applicants who took part in the promotion exam produced hitherto unseen outcomes.
He conveyed his satisfaction while praising the candidates’ outstanding behavior during the demanding drills that preceded the test.
“We have witnessed a fantastic exercise where candidates conducted themselves with utmost discipline and enthusiasm.
“As a result, we have achieved a level of success that we have not seen in quite some time.”

Major General Aligbe expressed his gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff for the resources allocated to ensure the successful completion of the examination.
He also acknowledged the support of the people of Ogun State, especially Governor Dapo Abiodun for their contributions to the 81 Division’s comfortable stay in Abeokuta during the examination period.
Aligbe added that the candidates now eagerly anticipate their nominations to attend the Junior Staff Course and the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, or similar courses in friendly countries.
He also said that the promotion examination represents just one step in the career advancement journey of the officers, as they will proceed to the Junior Staff Course and the Senior Staff Qualifying Examination.
The Examination President emphasized the significance of this achievement in enhancing the morale of the military officers. “Their success here will undoubtedly impact the way they perform in the field, ultimately contributing to our overall success in various operations.”
