Bashir Ahmad Calls for Probe into US Missionary over Plateau Attack Criticism

Bashir Ahmad, Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has urged authorities to investigate and possibly detain US missionary Alex Barbir following a video in which Barbir criticised the President’s handling of recent attacks in Plateau State.

The call came shortly after Barbir posted the video condemning the federal government’s response to the fresh attacks in Anguwan Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area, which reportedly left more than 10 residents dead on Sunday, March 29.

Ahmad alleged that the missionary’s remarks could incite unrest and called on relevant security agencies to take immediate action. Authorities have yet to comment on any formal steps regarding the matter.
