Bauchi Lawmaker Flags Off ICT Center, Farm Project, Medical Outreach

The House of Representative Member representing Bogoro, Dass and Tafawa Balewa Federal Constituency in Bauchi State, Mr Jafaru Leko, has launched a series of development projects to benefit his constituents.
Leko and other stakeholders inaugurated an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Center, flagged off the Billyami Othman Multipurpose Hall, a Farm Center and health care interventions on Tuesday in Bogoro ,Dass and Tafawa Balewa LGAs.
Speaking during the inauguration, Mr Leko said these initiative are part of his campaign promises and empowerment programs for constituents.
“The programs aim to equip youths with necessary skills for economic independence.
“Free eye care services have been provided to over 500 constituents in partnership with Albasar International Foundation Nigeria
“Enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainability through farm inputs,” he said.
Leko added the Information Communication Center (ICT) is for bridging the digital divide in the constituency, saying 200 youth will be train yearly.
“We provide Fulani Herdsmen Support with 1000 potassium units provided to support livestock health.
“On medical outreach we provide comprehensive healthcare services for the constituency and conduct surgery to over 100 constituents with 3000 eye glasses distributed to address vision impairments.
“We Distributed mattresses and oxygen cylinders and hospital equipment to general hospitals in Bununu, Bogoro, Dass, and Tafawa Balewa, ensuring improved healthcare services.
“On rural water supply we Improve access to clean water in rural areas of the constituents,” he said
He also flagged off the foundation laying ceremony for six blocks of classrooms in Bununu
Also Speaking, Alhaji Hassan Tilde, State Chairman All Progressive Congress (APC) commended the Reps Members effort’s on empowerment.
As a first-term member of the House of Representatives, Leko has demonstrated his dedication to enhancing the lives of his constituents.
His efforts align with his campaign promises, focusing on education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.
“This series of projects underscores Leko’s commitment to fostering sustainable development in Bauchi State,” he said.
