CAC Begins Process to Strike Off 100,000 Companies from Register
The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has commenced another round of striking off the names of companies from its register in accordance with the provisions of Section 692 (3) and (4) of the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA), 2020.
The Commission, in a notice to the general public and its customers, said the list of the affected 100,000 companies is available on its official website, CAC official website.
The affected companies have been advised to file all outstanding annual returns and update their Persons with Significant Control (PSC)/Beneficial Ownership information within 90 days of the notice.
CAC also directed the companies to regularise their records and submit evidence of compliance to the designated email address provided by the Commission.
The Commission warned that companies that fail to comply within the stipulated period will be struck off the register without further notice.
The CAC reaffirmed its commitment to providing prompt and efficient services to its customers.
