CAN Leadership Commends Progress at Defense Headquarters

In a significant meeting, the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, welcomed the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.
Led by its President, His Eminence Most Reverend Daniel Okoh, the CAN delegation expressed gratitude for the CDS’s previous visit to the association’s headquarters, highlighting the positive outcomes that have strengthened cooperation and understanding in addressing security challenges.

President Okoh said “the crucial role of peace in pursuing developmental projects cannot be overemphasised,” while acknowledging the significant progress made under General Musa’s leadership in combating criminality.
General Musa, in response, credited the successes of the Armed Forces of Nigeria to prayers and urged CAN to continue their spiritual support. “The is the need for righteous deeds and collective action to address security challenges in Nigeria,” he emphasised, re-assuring CAN of the Armed Forces of Nigeria’s commitment to protecting all Nigerians, irrespective of religious beliefs, and pledged ongoing collaboration for lasting peace in Nigeria.
