Canadian Environmentalist Sets World Record by Planting More Than 23,000 Trees in 24 Hours
Canadian environmentalist Antoine Moses earned global recognition after setting a Guinness World Record by planting 23,060 trees in just 24 hours.
The feat, achieved in 2021 in La Crete, Alberta, saw the then 23-year-old surpass the previous record of 15,170 trees planted in a single day.
According to Moses, the achievement was the result of five years of rigorous training to build the speed, endurance and technique required for the challenge.
Speaking about the accomplishment, he said his goal was to demonstrate how one individual can make a meaningful contribution to protecting the environment.
The record comes amid growing global efforts to combat climate change, with deforestation continuing to pose a major threat to ecosystems and biodiversity. Environmental experts have consistently identified reforestation as one of the key strategies for restoring degraded landscapes and reducing carbon emissions.
Moses’ achievement has been widely celebrated as an example of how dedication and individual action can contribute to global environmental conservation efforts.
