CDCFIB Shortlists Candidates for Final Oral Interview in 2024/2025 Recruitment
By Matthew Eloyi
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the shortlisting of successful candidates for the final oral interview in its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise.
The Board, in a statement signed by its Secretary, Maj. Gen. A.M. Jibril (rtd), on Friday, said the shortlist followed the completion of the physical and medical screening exercise conducted for applicants seeking recruitment into the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
According to the Board, candidates who applied under the Graduate Category are required to visit the official CDCFIB recruitment portal from Monday, August 31, to Wednesday, September 2, 2026, to confirm whether they have been shortlisted for the oral interview.
Similarly, candidates who applied under the NCE/OND/SSC Category have been directed to access the recruitment portal between Monday, September 7, and Wednesday, September 9, 2026, to check their shortlisting status.
The CDCFIB further directed shortlisted candidates to select a venue closest to them, as well as a convenient date and time for the interview, and print their invitation letters from the portal.
It warned that candidates must appear strictly on the date, time and venue specified in their invitation letters, stressing that only applicants shortlisted for the final exercise would be granted access to the interview venues.
The Board also clarified that it would not send emails to candidates regarding the exercise, urging applicants to obtain all recruitment-related information through the official portal and recognised communication channels.
It cautioned members of the public against fraudsters, reiterating that the entire recruitment exercise is transparent and free of charge.
Applicants were therefore advised to disregard any individual or group demanding money in exchange for employment and to report such persons to the nearest security agency or person in authority.
The CDCFIB urged all candidates to remain vigilant and rely only on official channels for updates, warning that legitimate communications concerning the recruitment exercise would come through the official portal and not via email.
