CDS General Musa Commiserates with Akwa Ibom Governor on Wife’s Passing
The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has expressed deep condolences to Governor Umo Bassey Eno of Akwa Ibom State following the sudden death of his wife, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno.
In a heartfelt message on behalf of the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN), General Musa extended his sympathies to the governor and the people of Akwa Ibom, describing the news of her passing as a shock.
General Musa acknowledged the significant role Mrs. Eno played in the governor’s life and administration, stating that her loss leaves a profound void in both her family and the state.
He highlighted her contributions to the welfare of Akwa Ibom’s children, youth, and vulnerable individuals through her pet project, the “Golden Initiative for All” (GIFA), a testament to her dedication to improving lives.
While mourning the sudden departure, General Musa urged the governor to find comfort in the reality that life is fleeting but hope remains.
He prayed for God’s strength and guidance for the family, as well as for the people of Akwa Ibom during this difficult time.
“As we share in your grief, we pray for divine protection over those she left behind,” the CDS stated, offering his support and solidarity to the Governor and his family.
