During the statement, the CDS acknowledged the federal government’s collaborative efforts to support the affected community and prevent such incidents in the future.
“We are using this occasion to appreciate Nigerians for their support and love for the Armed Forces,” the CDS stated, addressing the deliberate use of a sporting event to connect with the public. The CDS thanked all Nigerians for their understanding and emphasised that restoring peace and tranquillity in Nigeria is a collective effort.
C.G Musa emphasised the significance of physical endurance in the line of duty, stating, “Our job demands a lot of endurance, and this event serves as a reminder to put in more efforts.” Encouraging increased participation in future events.
As the nation reflects on recent challenges, the call for unity, support for the Armed Forces, and the promotion of physical fitness through events like marathons remain at the forefront of national priorities. The hope is that such initiatives will contribute to the restoration of peace and stability in Nigeria.
