Champions League: Porto knocks Juventus out
The 10 men of FC Porto have knocked Juventus out of the Uefa Champions League to reach the quarter-finals after extra-time play.
Porto qualified to the next round of the competition for the second time in three seasons with away goals advantage over Juve.
Juventus had it all to do on peach during the Tuesday night game as Porto looked outplayed, however, Sergio Oliveira’s two away goals help keeps the tie alive for Porto after Mehdi Taremi was sent off by the referee.
Porto progress on away goals after the tie which was taken to extra time ended 4-4 on aggregate.
Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund (BVB) who had won the first leg 3-2 against Seville survived a late fight-back from its rival in a 2-2 draw, with BVB progressing 5-4 on aggregate after two more goals from Erling Haaland.
