As part of activities to celebrate Christmas, the Commandant of Nigerian Army School of Intelligence, Brigadier General Kingsley Nwoko distributed palliatives to over 300 widows in Idumuje Ugboko and neighbouring communities in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State in honour of his late mother.
The Commandant while reaching out to the widows noted that the kind gesture was in memory of his late beloved mother who was a widow for over 30 years.
According to General Nwoko, the unfortunate demise of his mother occurred on 1 October 2022. He further stated that after her death he set up a foundation in memory of her mother who was a community leader in Idumeje.
Late Mrs Beatrice Buno Nwoko, before her unfortunate demise was a pioneer member of the United English Baptist Church, Kaduna. She was also known as Hajiya Gwari Road among her close friends because of her accommodating disposition as well as a community leader in Idumeje.
Brigadier General Nwoko While celebrating with the widows in Idumeje distributed bags of rice, wrappers, packets of Maggi, salt, hand-wash and cash to the over 300 widows of the community and environs. He promised to continue to sustain the kind gesture to sustain the legacy of his mother who was seen as a mother with a heart of gold by the community.
