Dangote Refinery Cuts Petrol Price Again, Reduces PMS by N200 Per Litre in One Month
Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has announced another reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), marking its fourth price cut within one month as it continues to pass lower production costs on to consumers.
The latest adjustment reduces the ex-depot price of petrol by N50 per litre, bringing the refinery’s gantry price down to N1,075 per litre.
According to the company, the latest reduction brings the cumulative cut in its PMS ex-depot price to N200 per litre since May 30, 2026, despite the refinery still processing crude oil purchased at significantly higher international prices.
The refinery also disclosed that, within the same period, it had reduced the ex-depot price of Automotive Gas Oil (diesel) by N300 per litre and Jet A1 aviation fuel by N520 per litre.
Dangote Refinery said the successive price reductions reflect its commitment to ensuring that Nigerians benefit from favourable market conditions while sustaining efficient domestic refining operations.
The company added that it remains focused on improving product affordability, enhancing local fuel supply and supporting the long-term sustainability of Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector.
