Dele Momodu Calls on President Tinubu to Bring Fresh Talent into Cabinet

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Dele Momodu, has urged President Bola Tinubu to include individuals who can address the country’s challenges in his cabinet.
Speaking with newsmen on Tuesday, Momodu emphasized the need for fresh ideas to navigate the difficult times faced by many Nigerians over the past year.
Momodu stated that the President needs to meet citizens’ expectations more effectively. “Nigeria is blessed with some of the greatest human beings on earth, who are scattered all over the planet. Find them and bring them into government,” he said.
“The best way to get a second term by any leader is when you have performed in the first term. My honest advice, borne out of patriotism, is that you urgently get the best people on board,” he added.
He also highlighted the importance of honest feedback, warning against the culture of sycophancy, which he described as an albatross to good governance. “The President would do well with people who speak truth to power,” Momodu added.
Addressing the country’s energy crisis, Momodu stressed its critical role in national development. “Until we solve the energy crisis, I don’t think we will be ready to join the comity of other nations in their march towards advancement,” he said. Additionally, he called for a declaration of a state of emergency in infrastructure, education, food security, and overall security.
Momodu urged the administration to remain focused and consistent in its efforts to improve the country, advising that “slow and steady wins the race.“
