The Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association (DEPOWA) has successfully trained wives of military officers on personal visioning and planning.

Held at the DEPOWA Secretariat in Abuja from February 12-13, the two-day workshop provided participants with essential mental tools, strategies, and action plans to help them achieve their goals and aspirations.

DEPOWA President Mrs. Musa emphasised the importance of the workshop in enhancing the participants’ capacity and mental abilities. She noted that women possess inherent leadership qualities that need to be harnessed and developed.

“We need to find ways to bring out those qualities and develop plans to help us balance every area of our lives so that we do not fall behind,” Mrs. Musa said.

She expressed her hope that the workshop would transform the participants’ mindset from negativity to positivity, leading to improved outcomes in their personal lives, families, and the wider society.

“They have learned new things, gained new ideas, and are now better equipped and prepared to face their family, work, and visioning challenges,” Mrs. Musa added.

The workshop culminated in the presentation of an Award of Excellent Achiever to the DEPOWA President and certificates to the participants.
