DEPOWA President Extends Relief to Internally Displaced Persons in Kafanchan and Zangon Kataf (Photos)
Aligning with the humanitarian goals of the Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association (DEPOWA), Mrs. Oghogho Gwabin Musa, the association’s president, undertook a compassionate visit to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Zangon Kataf, Kafanchan Local Government Area of Kaduna State, on January 9, 2024, during which she generously donated relief materials to alleviate the various challenges confronted by the IDPs.

In her address, Mrs. Musa expressed the purpose of the visit, emphasising the association’s commitment to providing support and assurance to the IDPs, “I like to reminding you that you are not alone in your struggles, and that’s why we are here with you.”
Mrs. Oghogho Musa presented a range of items aimed at assisting and enhancing the lives of the IDPs. She also conveyed her gratitude to Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, for her exemplary leadership and significant support through the Renewed Hope Initiative Program, particularly in aiding women, youth, and the vulnerable.
The visit’s highlights included the distribution of relief materials and interactions between President DEPOWA and the IDPs, reflecting the association’s dedication to humanitarian causes and its unwavering commitment to uplifting communities in distress.
