Ebola Patient in Abuja Shows Signs of Recovery, FG Says
The Federal Government has announced that the confirmed Ebola patient in Nigeria is showing signs of recovery, days after health authorities reported that she had developed multi-organ failure.
The patient, who was diagnosed with the Bundibugyo strain of Ebola virus disease, is receiving treatment at a private clinic in Abuja.
The Federal Ministry of Health said there was currently no evidence of community transmission, adding that contact tracing, quarantine and monitoring efforts were ongoing to prevent further spread of the disease.
According to the ministry, health authorities have identified 44 contacts linked to the case, who are being monitored as part of the response measures.
The government continues to monitor the situation as health officials maintain surveillance and implement public health measures to contain the outbreak.
