Ekoja Storms Agatu, Gets Royal Blessings for Benue South Senatorial Bid

Bashir Hassan Ekoja, a young politician seeking the ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to contest for the Benue South Senatorial seat, on Saturday took his consultations to Agatu Local Government Area, where he was warmly received by his kinsmen and traditional leaders.

Ekoja, who was in Obagaji, the headquarters of Agatu LGA, for the unveiling of the ADC Secretariat, also used the opportunity to visit his village, Enungba. He was accorded a rousing welcome by youths of the community before proceeding to the palace of the District Head, Oche g’Enungba, where he received royal blessings for his political journey.

In Obagaji, the senatorial hopeful further paid homage to the paramount ruler, Oche ga Dogoji, who equally offered prayers and expressed support for his ambition.

Speaking briefly during the visits, Ekoja said the warm reception and blessings had strengthened his resolve to pursue his aspiration with humility and commitment, assuring that he would not disappoint the people of Benue South if given the mandate.

The unveiling of the ADC Secretariat in Agatu is part of the party’s ongoing grassroots mobilisation efforts across the senatorial district ahead of the 2027 general elections.
