The engagement brought together government representatives and technical experts from across the region to review findings, harmonise priorities, and strengthen collective ownership of strategies aimed at improving migration governance.

Beyond the technical validation process, the dialogue focused on reinforcing collaboration among Member States, aligning national and regional approaches, and promoting evidence-based policies to address emerging mobility challenges linked to climate change and border security.

Participants underscored the importance of coordinated action in building resilient systems that effectively manage movement, safeguard vulnerable populations, and enhance regional stability.

The initiative marks another step toward strengthening West Africa’s capacity to respond to migration dynamics through shared responsibility, data-driven planning, and sustained partnership among regional institutions.
