Family of Late Justice Ifeoma Okogwu Raises Alarm Over ‘Calculated Murder,’ Security Guard Disappears
The family of the late Justice Ifeoma Okogwu has spoken out following her brutal killing in Asaba, describing the incident as a deliberate and horrifying attack. Her brother, Ogbueshi Godfrey Okogwu, expressed deep grief and concern, calling on authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into what he believes was a carefully executed crime.
According to reports by PM NEWS on Friday, November 28, 2025, the retired judge was discovered dead in her home with her face and limbs tightly bound. The residence had been ransacked, indicating a violent struggle.

Ogbueshi Okogwu said the family received the heartbreaking news early Monday, November 24, 2025, and believes the murder took place the night before. He described the disappearance of the night security guard as a critical and troubling detail in the unfolding investigation.
He explained that the morning guard arrived for duty only to find the gate wide open and the night guard missing without explanation. This, he said, immediately raised suspicions of possible internal collaboration.
The family has since submitted the name of the private security company responsible for providing guards to Justice Okogwu’s residence. They are cooperating closely with investigators and have urged the police to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the killing. The morning guard, according to him, has already been taken in for questioning.
“My eldest sister was murdered in her house on Sunday night. We only received the news on Monday morning, so we presume the incident happened during the night,” Ogbueshi said. “A major red flag in the investigation is the disappearance of the night security guard stationed at the Judge’s home. The guard on the morning shift claimed he met the gate wide open when he arrived.”
Authorities are yet to release official details on arrests or suspects, but the family has called for swift justice for the slain judge.
