In a significant relief effort, the Federal Government has dispatched thousands of bags of grains to support the needy in Zamfara State. The distribution was spearheaded by Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, during a launch ceremony held on Monday at the office of the Commissioner of Emotional Affairs in Gusau, the state capital.

Governor Lawal highlighted the timely nature of the aid, noting that it arrives during a period marked by security challenges and the economic impact of recent federal policies. “The distribution of resources came at a critical time when people are facing challenges due to robbery activities and the impact of recent economic changes by the Federal Government,” he stated.

The governor expressed his gratitude to the Federal Government, emphasizing the positive impact the food aid will have on alleviating food shortages in the state. “Needless to say, these resources will greatly help reduce food shortages that the state is facing,” he remarked. He also urged beneficiaries to make proper use of the materials provided.

The Federal Government’s intervention is expected to provide much-needed relief to those affected by ongoing crises in the region, helping to stabilize the food supply and support the well-being of vulnerable populations in Zamfara State.
