First Lady Celebrates Historic Achievement of Lieutenant Princess Oluchukwu Owowoh
The First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu warmly welcomed 2nd Lieutenant Princess Oluchukwu Owowoh, the first Nigerian female graduand of the UK’s prestigious Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst (RMAS), to the State House on Monday.
In her remarks, Senator Tinubu commended the Nigerian Army for providing an enabling environment for female officers to excel.
She urged the nation’s youth to follow Owowoh’s example of resilience and steer clear of destructive behaviours.
The First Lady proposed Owowoh for a national award and encouraged her to serve as a positive role model and advocate for youth empowerment.
Earlier, Major General John Ochai, the Commandant of the NDA, underscored Owowoh’s historic accomplishment, emphasising the significance of her success amidst international competition from countries such as India, Pakistan, Qatar, the UK, Canada, and Australia at the renowned military institution.
Owowoh’s journey to becoming the first Nigerian female graduate of RMAS stands as a testament to her dedication, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
