Mrs Tinubu made the remarks while speaking on ongoing economic and security reforms being implemented by the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. She stressed that reforms, though difficult, are necessary to reposition the country for long-term stability and growth.
According to the First Lady, economic restructuring and security interventions are complex processes that take time to yield visible results, but remain essential to addressing Nigeria’s long-standing challenges. She urged Nigerians to look beyond short-term discomfort and focus on the broader goals of national development and peace.
She noted that insecurity and economic hardship did not develop overnight and cannot be resolved instantly, adding that deliberate steps are being taken to strengthen institutions, improve social welfare, and restore confidence in governance.
Mrs Tinubu also emphasized the administration’s commitment to inclusive development, saying policies and programmes are being designed to support vulnerable groups, empower women and youth, and improve livelihoods across communities.
She called on citizens to remain patient and supportive, stressing that constructive criticism is welcome but should not be driven by misinformation or political calculations.
The First Lady reaffirmed that the Tinubu administration remains focused on delivering meaningful reforms that will ultimately translate into improved security, economic resilience, and a better quality of life for Nigerians.
