Former CDS Gen. Christopher Musa Meets President Tinubu Amid Rising Security Tensions
Former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, on Monday held a closed-door meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Gen. Musa, who retired on October 24, 2025, arrived at the State House at exactly 7:03 p.m. He was received by a senior security official and escorted to the President’s office. Dressed in a dark-green, northern-style traditional outfit with elbow-length sleeves, this marks his first public appearance with the President since leaving office.

Although the details of their discussion were not disclosed, the meeting comes at a critical moment as security tensions escalate across the North.
In recent days, the country has witnessed a series of disturbing incidents, including:
- The abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi State
- An attack on worshippers in Eruku, Kwara State
- The kidnapping of Catholic schoolchildren in Minna, Niger State
Security agencies have since intensified counter-terrorism and anti-kidnapping operations across the North-West and North-Central zones.
The meeting between President Tinubu and the former CDS is already fueling public speculation, given the sensitive timing and Gen. Musa’s deep experience in national security operations. However, officials have not released any statement regarding the agenda or outcome of the discussion.
More details are expected as the situation develops.
