The officer’s driver reportedly escaped from the attack despite sustaining a gunshot injury. He was said to have raised the alarm after fleeing the scene.
A red Peugeot 504 vehicle believed to belong to the victims was reportedly recovered and is currently parked at the Matazu Divisional Headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force.
