Former NUESA-BUK President Graduates with 4.47 CGPA in Chemical Engineering
The immediate past President of the Nigeria University of Engineering Students’ Association, Abubakar Jafar Bawale, has graduated from Bayero University Kano with an outstanding cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.47 out of 5.00 in Chemical Engineering.
Bawale earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with a Second Class Upper Division, capping off an academic journey marked by consistent excellence and active student leadership.
Despite the demands of leading one of the university’s most prominent student associations, he maintained an impressive academic record throughout his studies.
His academic progression reflected steady improvement over the years. In his first year, he recorded a CGPA of 4.12 after earning GPAs of 3.63 and 4.73 in the first and second semesters respectively. By the end of his second year, his CGPA had risen to 4.38, following semester GPAs of 4.43 and 4.70.
In Level 300, Bawale further improved his performance, posting GPAs of 4.68 and 4.75 to attain a CGPA of 4.49. His strongest academic year came in Level 400, where he achieved a first-semester GPA of 4.83 and finished the year with a CGPA of 4.53.
He eventually graduated with an overall CGPA of 4.47 in Level 500.
Beyond academics, Bawale distinguished himself through leadership and service. Before emerging as President of NUESA-BUK, he served as a class representative from Level 100 through Level 400, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to representing and supporting his fellow students.
