The programme is aimed at getting Nigerian youths and future leaders to understand the concept of fiscal responsibility and fiscal governance, including acquainting them with the objectives of the Fiscal Responsibility Act (FRA) 2007, and the benefits of its implementation in the management of the nation’s resources.

The corps members were introduced to the tenets of fiscal responsibility, prudence in public finance management, the budgetary process, and economic management generally by the Special Assistant to the Chairman, Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Dr Chris Uwadoka.

Uwadoka said the Commission would continue to awaken the citizens’ consciousness of the need for a transparent and accountable public expenditure management by catching them young.

The NYSC Camp Directors for the Abuja and Keffi Orientation Camps, Mrs Olayinka Abdulwahab and Mrs Joy Haruna respectively in their remarks, expressed their happiness for the sensitisation exercise for Corps Member to be aware of Fiscal Responsibility in their daily dealings.
