Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the governor of Gombe State and chairman of the Northern Governors’ Forum, was present for the UNGA’s opening ceremony.
On the margins of the UNGA, Governor Inuwa Yahaya, who is accompanying President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the 78th UNGA together with other governors, ministers, and officials, will meet with leaders from other countries and international organizations.
Governor Inuwa is charged with lobbying for the particular issues facing the region in his capacity as chairman of the Northern Governors’ Forum, as well as contributing to debates on more general issues including climate change, peace and security, and sustainable development targets.
These encounters give Gombe State a great opportunity to explore areas of mutual interest and profit, establish partnerships, and further its development objectives.
