Gov. Inuwa Yahaya Presents INEC Nomination Forms to APC Candidates, Declares Party Ready for 2027 Elections
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has presented Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination forms to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates contesting the 24 seats in the Gombe State House of Assembly, declaring the party ready for the 2027 General Elections.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Director-General of Press Affairs, Government House, Gombe, Ismaila Uba Misilli.
The Governor also presented INEC acknowledgement slips to the party’s Senatorial and House of Representatives candidates who had earlier completed and submitted their nomination forms in line with the Commission’s electoral guidelines.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Gombe, Governor Inuwa Yahaya said the successful conduct of the party’s primary elections and completion of the nomination process marked the beginning of a new phase aimed at securing victory for the APC in the 2027 general elections.
He described the party’s primaries as peaceful, transparent and credible, congratulating the candidates on their emergence and noting that the outcomes had been accepted by the party’s national leadership.
The Governor urged party leaders, candidates and supporters to remain united, intensify grassroots mobilisation and work collectively to ensure the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC governorship candidate in Gombe State, Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, as well as all the party’s National and State Assembly candidates.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya also called on party members to showcase the achievements of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the developmental projects executed by his administration across Gombe State.
According to him, the APC has fulfilled its campaign promises and is well-positioned to seek another mandate from the electorate in the 2027 general elections.
