Gov Sule’s Generosity Shines at WASA 2024, Extends Support to Army School
In a heartwarming gesture, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State expressed deep appreciation for the resilience and dedication of the Nigerian Army during this year’s West African Social Activities (WASA).
The event took place at the 4 Special Forces Fitness/Sports Centre in Doma Barracks, Doma Local Government Area.
Governor Sule, who served as the special guest, acknowledged the challenging year and commended the armed forces, particularly for their efforts in maintaining security in the North Central region. He emphasised the significance of recognising the Nigerian Army’s role in global peacekeeping missions, resulting in documented victories.
Expressing condolences to families who lost their loved ones in service, Governor Sule applauded the soldiers for their sacrifices and urged them to sustain their commitment to peaceful coexistence.
As part of his commitment, the Governor announced a generous donation of twenty million naira on behalf of Nasarawa State. Additionally, he pledged to furnish and deploy newly recruited teachers to schools within the Doma barracks, benefiting army children and enhancing educational facilities.
Governor Sule commended the establishment of a school within the barracks, promising state support in furnishing the school upon completion. He highlighted the state’s ongoing teacher recruitment drive, intending to deploy educators to contribute to the school’s academic excellence.
