Governor Buni’s Surprise Visit Ensures Quality and Speed on Project Sites

Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, made an unannounced inspection of township roads and a health facility project at the Yobe State University Teaching Hospital in Damaturu today.
The governor’s visit aimed to assess the quality and progress of the ongoing projects, crucial for the socio-economic development of the communities.
Speaking, Governor Buni emphasized the significance of well-built roads for facilitating post-insurgency recovery and the importance of efficient drainage systems in mitigating annual floods.
He expressing satisfaction with the work’s pace and quality, he urged the Commissioner for Works, Engr. Umaru Wakil Dudaye, to ensure value for money in all endeavors.
Governor Buni also underscored the need for contractors to strictly adhere to project specifications and contractual agreements. In response, the Commissioner for Works assured the governor of the ministry’s meticulous supervision to guarantee compliance with standards.
Highlighting additional projects, the Commissioner revealed plans for seven kilometers of road construction and fourteen kilometers of concrete drainage in Damaturu’s commissioner’s quarters and Nasarawa areas.
He applauded Governor Buni’s initiatives to shield communities from annual flood hazards.
Transitioning to the College of Medical Sciences at the Yobe State University Teaching Hospital, Governor Buni monitored progress on the facility’s construction.
