Governor Dikko Radda has expressed appreciation to the Nigerian Army for recognising Katsina State’s community-driven security initiatives during the visit of Study Group 5 of Senior Course 48 from the Armed Forces Command and Staff College.

Radda said Katsina State is increasingly becoming a national reference point for grassroots security engagement due to its emphasis on collaboration between government, security agencies, traditional institutions, and local communities.

According to the governor, sustainable peace can only be achieved through strong partnerships and active community participation in security management.

He noted that the achievements recorded by the Katsina State Community Watch Corps and other local security initiatives have demonstrated the importance of local intelligence gathering, trust-building, and collective responsibility in tackling insecurity.

The governor commended the Nigerian Army and other security agencies for their sacrifices and commitment to protecting lives and property across the country.

“Katsina State will continue to support every lawful effort aimed at protecting lives, securing communities, and ensuring a peaceful future for our citizens,” he stated.

Radda also welcomed members of the study group to the state and expressed hope that their research findings would contribute meaningfully to the ongoing fight against insecurity in Nigeria.
