Id-el-Kabir: Elerinmo Congratulates Muslims, urges them to pray for peace and development

A prominent traditional ruler in Osun State, the Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesa town in Oriade Local Government area of the state, Oba Dr Michael Ajayi Odunayo, Arowotawaya II has congratulated Muslim Umma on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, charge them to pray for sustainable peace, development and security in the Country.

The Elerinmo in his Sallah message to all the Muslim Umma in Erinmo-Ijesa town, Osun State and entire nation made available to newsmen by the Elerinmo In Council Media Unit, described Eid-el-Kabir as the period which signifies sacrifice and devotion to the worship of the Almighty Allah as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, reminds entire Muslims of the need of total submission to the will of Allah and make more sacrifices to Him, the Islam and the humanity.

Oba Arowotawaya, enjoined Muslims to be their brothers’ keepers by offering helping hands, showing compassion, brotherhood, love and shunning backbite, enmity as well as dangerous envy among others.

The Elerinmo, also tasked Muslim faithfuls to use the period to extend hands of kindness to others, pray fervently for Osun State and Nigeria as a whole for security, economic prosperity and development.

The Monarch emphasised on the need for the citizens to live in peace and unity irrespective of their religious and ethnic differences.

According to the Elerinmo, “This season is another opportunity for us all to join our Muslim brothers and Sisters in reflecting on peaceful and obedient lifestyle of the Prophet of God which are all expected to imbibe and emulate.

“On behalf of myself and my royal families as well as the Elerinmo In Council, I wish you all Happy Celebration.”
