IGP Disu Leads Nationwide Walkathon to Mark National Police Day
The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Tuesday led officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force on a walkathon in Abuja to commemorate National Police Day.

The exercise, which commenced from the Force Headquarters to the Unity Fountain, was held under the theme “Together We Walk, Together We Secure.”
The event attracted police personnel and members of the public, reflecting a shared commitment to promoting peace, security, and stronger community partnership.
According to the police leadership, the walkathon is part of a series of activities lined up to mark the celebration, with similar exercises being replicated across commands and formations nationwide.
The initiative is aimed at encouraging physical fitness among officers while also fostering closer ties between the police and the communities they serve.
