The incident, which occurred on Sunday night, has heightened tension in the area, with residents still grappling with the aftermath of the violence.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the organisation said the victims were among those affected when gunmen stormed the community and opened fire on residents. It added that efforts were ongoing to locate the missing members.

JNI condemned the attack, describing it as tragic and unacceptable, and called on security agencies to intensify efforts to apprehend those responsible.

The group also urged residents to remain calm and avoid actions that could escalate tensions, while calling for unity and cooperation among communities during the ongoing security operations.

Security agencies have since been deployed to the area as authorities continue investigations into the attack and work to restore normalcy.
