Joy and Glitz as Former Benue Deputy Governor Gives Daughter in Holy Matrimony

The ancient city of Nsukka was filled with joy and celebration on Saturday as Engr Benson Abounu, former Benue State Deputy Governor, and his wife, Justice Mary Abounu, gave their daughter, Enenu Grace Abounu, in marriage to Nicodemus Chidera Onah in a vibrant ceremony.
The event, held at St. Theresa’s Cathedral Nsukka, brought together dignitaries from all walks of life to witness the union of the Idoma bride and her Igbo groom.
In his homily, Rev Fr (Dr) Thaddeus Eze emphasized the importance of building a strong foundation in Christ, advising the couple to let go of the past and be mindful of their words.
Father of the bride, Engr Benson Abounu expressed his joy, noting that the union attests to national cohesion and bridging cultural divides. He encouraged the couple to imbibe the teachings of Christ, echoing the officiating minister’s message.
Dr. Godwin Ogwuche, Chairman of the occasion, added his words of wisdom, stating that “love is sacrifice” and emphasizing the importance of tolerance in marriage. He advised the couple to learn to tolerate each other, ensuring a harmonious and lasting union.
The ceremony was a beautiful blend of cultures, traditions, and faith, celebrating the love and commitment of the young couple. As they begin their new life together, they were surrounded by love, support, and wisdom from their families and community.
