Kaduna Governor, RMAFC Strengthen Partnership on Fiscal Reforms, Revenue Mobilisation
Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fiscal reforms, prudent financial management and sustainable economic development following a meeting with the leadership of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
The governor received the Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Mohammed Bello Shehu, OFR, and members of the RMAFC at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House in Kaduna.
According to Governor Sani, the meeting focused on strengthening Nigeria’s fiscal framework, improving revenue mobilisation and promoting a revenue allocation system that is equitable, transparent and fiscally sustainable to support national development.
He noted that the discussions also highlighted Kaduna State’s ongoing reforms aimed at improving public finance management and expanding internally generated revenue.
The governor said his administration has continued to prioritise investments in critical sectors, including healthcare, education and human capital development, to ensure that sound financial management translates into improved living standards for residents.
“We remain committed to ensuring that prudent financial management and fiscal discipline deliver tangible benefits for the people of Kaduna State through improved service delivery and sustainable development,” he said.
Governor Sani also appreciated the Commission’s recognition of the state’s development efforts, noting that the commendation would further encourage his administration to consolidate ongoing reforms and strengthen fiscal resilience.
He disclosed that the RMAFC Chairman commended Kaduna State’s achievements in security, infrastructure development, education, healthcare, agriculture, social inclusion and economic growth, describing the state as one of Nigeria’s leading sub-national governments.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to deepen collaboration with the Commission in advancing reforms that will strengthen public finance, enhance service delivery and promote inclusive economic growth across Kaduna State.
