The Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, has been awarded the Honorary Fellowship of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), in recognition of his contributions to the advancement of public relations practice and institutional development in Nigeria.

The conferment ceremony, held at the Council Chamber of the Kaduna State Government House on Tuesday, serves as a prelude to his formal investiture as Patron of the Institute. The investiture is scheduled to take place during the opening ceremony of the Nigerian Public Relations Week (NPRW) 2026.

According to the Institute, the honour acknowledges Governor Sani’s sustained support for the growth of the NIPR, his commitment to strengthening the public relations profession, and his developmental achievements in Kaduna State.

The event attracted several high-profile dignitaries, including the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Hadiza Balarabe; members of the State Executive Council; NIPR Council members; leading media executives; and other senior government officials.

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations congratulated Governor Sani on the recognition, describing it as well deserved.

The Institute also encouraged stakeholders and the public to participate in ongoing conversations around NPRW 2026 through its official social media platforms.
