By Ayshatu S. Rabo
Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has convened an urgent meeting with prominent stakeholders from several local government areas to address the escalating security challenges and strategise on intelligence operations.
The meeting, which included heads of security agencies, was a direct response to the recent surge in terrorist activities, particularly the abduction of school children in Kuriga.
The governor has been actively coordinating with various levels of government and security frameworks to ensure the safe return of the abducted children and to curb the spread of terrorism. He has maintained open communication with the affected families and community leaders, who remain hopeful about the success of these efforts.
A critical focus of the meeting was the identification and decisive handling of local informants aiding terrorists. “Your contributions as traditional rulers, religious leaders, and local government officials in intelligence gathering, is vital ans you must perform it. We must be united in our actions in order to eliminate these threats within our communities,” Governor Sani said, pledging to lead the charge, even as he acknowledged the active involvement of President Bola Tinubu in the efforts to rescue the abducted children and restore peace in Kaduna State.
