West, 48, took to Instagram on Tuesday, December 30, to celebrate Censori after she unveiled the first installment of her performance art series. Sharing images from the exhibition, he wrote simply, “So proud of my wife,” drawing mixed reactions from followers who expressed confusion and concern over the nature of the artwork.
The exhibition, titled BIO POP, was held on December 11 in Seoul, South Korea. According to AD Middle East, Censori, a 30-year-old Australian architectural designer, presented an installation featuring tables, chairs, and sculptural objects formed by contorted female bodies. The outlet described the work as a reimagining of “domestic rituals as performance,” turning household furniture into symbols of obedience, control, and constructed identity.
Censori explained on her official website that the concept explores how domestic spaces shape human behavior, stating, “The home molds the body, the spirit, and its roles.”
During the exhibition, Censori performed for approximately 11 minutes, wearing a red latex catsuit while miming the act of baking a cake. She wheeled the cake to a table surrounded by female performers who appeared to function as furniture, further reinforcing the exhibition’s unsettling themes.
The performance has drawn backlash from critics and commentators, with some labeling it a “coded cry for help.” This reaction comes amid ongoing public speculation and rumors suggesting that West exerts control over Censori’s lifestyle, including her fashion choices and diet.
Citing a source close to the exhibition, RadarOnline.com reported concerns over the symbolism used in the artwork. “The contorted figures and their integration into domestic furniture suggest something darker,” the source said. “It’s as if Bianca is projecting a coded message about her own experiences — about being constrained, observed, or controlled.”
Despite the criticism, West’s public show of support highlights his approval of Censori’s artistic direction, even as the exhibition continues to generate intense discussion around art, power, and personal expression.
