Matawalle Arrives Kebbi to Lead Rescue Operations for Abducted Schoolgirls
Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has arrived in Birnin Kebbi in compliance with the directive of the Commander-in-Chief, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to take charge of ongoing rescue efforts for the abducted schoolgirls.
Upon arrival, the minister met with the Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), at the Government House, where they reviewed current security updates and coordinated strategies for the retrieval of the missing students.

Matawalle stated that he will remain on ground in Kebbi to personally oversee military and security operations aimed at ensuring the girls’ swift and safe return.
“Our mission is clear, and we will not rest until they are safely rescued,” he affirmed.
